Hamilton and District

About

Hamilton and District u3a has a monthly meeting on the third Thursday of the month at 2pm in St John's Church Centre, Duke Street, Hamilton. A wide variety of speakers provide interesting and informative talks. We have members from not only Hamilton but from 19 other towns and villages in the area.

Once you have joined, you can become a member of any of the interest groups. Our year runs from September to June.

The Committee meets five times a year to discuss issues affecting our u3a and also any matters arising at regional and national level. If you would like to join the committee in the future, please contact our chairperson Alice for further details.

Beacon is the u3a Membership Management System where your records are securely stored and it allows us to send out group emails. The system also allows us to manage our finances.

Hamilton u3a is a member of two different Networks, Local Area Network and Central Belt of Scotland Network.

We are also a member of The u3a in Scotland.

The Local Area Network consists of four u3as in the South Lanarkshire area. They are:-

  • Biggar u3a
  • East Kilbride u3a
  • Hamilton u3a
  • Lanark u3a
